NANA PAINTS!!

For those who have been following me, you know that Nana sews, quilts and crochets but my close friends know that I have another passion! – NANA PAINTS.

Today, as my regular weekly post, I have shared some of my past experience with paints because on SATURDAY, I will be posting I have an exciting surprise. Yes, it has something to do with painting and here is a HINT – It includes a GIVEAWAY! CLICK HERE to find out more!!

Some  years ago, I started dabbling with some decorative paint, painting trays, then stools, some garden items. Anything made of wood – Nana paints! I went looking at garage sales and thrift stores for wood.

Lately, I began chalk painting some furniture.  I absolutely fell in love with this concept and began painting a lot of furniture in my house. My thrift store finds turned from anything wood into wood furnishings that had some character.

During the winter months, when I have no sewing machine, I have done some canvas painting.  These were easy to transport to my winter home in Costa Rica and painting on canvas became another of my passions.

I absolutely LOVE to paint and wish I could paint more. I quilt, sew and crochet for others, as gifts, but painting is for ME!!
