So what can you do to celebrate?

March is National Crochet Month so let’s have some fun. Here are some ideas to help you celebrate!!

Learn to Crochet

In 2020, many of us learned to crochet 30 different stitches to make a gorgeous afghan. You can too! Although Nana’s Learn to Crochet Crochet Along is finished, you can still take advantage of the FREE lessons and videos. Work at your own pace.

Shop the sales

Many of our favorite yarn stores will be celebrating National Crochet Month. Now is the time to take advantage of the savings! Check out Nana’s Favorite stores.

Try out new patterns for FREE!

Our sister site has a multitude of FREE patterns for you to try. Check out Nana’s FREE pattern index to find a favorite and start hooking.

Join a Crochet-Along

Crochet Alongs (CAL) are basically a group of people all working on a large project at the same time and pace. Some are targeted to more advanced crocheters and involve a variety of difficult stitches. Others are designed so that everyone can participate, no matter their skill level .

Nana created a list of crochet-alongs for both 2020 and 2021. If you find a crochet along that you love, but have missed your opportunity to join in – don’t despair – the patterns, videos and instructions are usually still available. This is great because you can work at your own pace. Due to time commitments, Nana has not yet started the 2022 list.

Create stunning projects

With the help of independent designers, you can crochet beautiful creations. Nana gets a lot of inspiration, low cost patterns, unique yarns and supplies from the sellers on Etsy. To learn more, you can refer to my previous post or check out Nana’s Favorite Etsy List.
