Celebrate your special day with something handmade especially for your loved one.

As Valentine’s day is fast approaching, I thought it would be fun to find some Valentine crafts ideas to share.   Below you will find my list of 10 Valentine crafts ideas to make your Valentines Day special.

Valentine’s Day is a celebration of love and lovers. The history of Valentine’s Day goes back to ancient times, when people paid honor to the Roman God of Fertility. This was known as the Feast of Lupercalia, and was celebrated even then on February 14th.  Pope Gelasius I replaced Lupercalia with St. Valentine’s Day.  It came to be celebrated as a day of romance from about the 14th century.

It is a romantic event for lovers, and a fun event for kids and family. Many couples become engaged or married on this day.  For others it is a day to fall in love.

The traditions of Valentine’s Day are broad and many. It is a time to exchange cards or small gifts. Chocolates, flowers, jewelry, and romantic dinners are the big hits of this holiday.

I compiled a list of 10 easy to make Valentine crafts projects to help you celebrate your Valentine!

Oh, but then I got to thinking….could I make it sing the song?
