Winnie’s Picks Paint by Numbers – A review

Some of you who know me well, know that I don’t just quilt, sew and crochet.   I also dabble with paint.  I started with some decorative paint, painting trays, then stools, some garden items.  And lately, began chalk painting some furniture.  During the winter months, when I have no sewing machine, I have done some canvas painting.

So when I was approached to review an adult paint by numbers, I accepted the challenge.  Winnie’s Picks sent me a free sample of their product in return for an honest review.  Please note that other than the paint by number kit, I did not receive any compensation from Winnie’s Picks.  So here it is – my thoughts on this paint by number kit.

Don’t stop reading!! There is a great surprise at the end of this post!!

How to Crochet a Magic Ring

How to crochet a magic ring featured image. Picture depicts finished ring

Magic rings are one of the most useful techniques to learn for crocheting in the round. Once you know how to crochet a magic ring, I am sure you will be using them all the time.

Many patterns ask you to chain two to four stitches, create a loop and then work the first round in that loop. Most times, this loop creates a large hole in the center of your round. But, a magic ring creates a center that is tightly closed.

Paintbox Yarn and the Midnight Top – a Great Combo

What’s Nana Making utilizes affiliate programs for monetization, which means when you click on links to various products  that I recommend and make a purchase, this can result in a commission that is credited to this site. Please be sure to read our Privacy Policy

I am an affiliate at LoveCrafts but I didn’t feel right promoting something to you that I had never tried. Although they came highly recommended, I felt the need to try their products. Paintbox Yarn is available exclusively from LoveCrafts, therefore, this was the product I wanted to try.

I stumbled across LoveCrochet one day when I found a pattern I loved on their website. In fact, their website offers lots of patterns (free and paid), along with inspiration and how-tos. LoveCrafts is a combination of LoveKnitting and LoveCrochet and was founded by three people who after seeing the makers in their lives struggle to find all their craft inspiration and materials in one place, they decided to change this. They built an online place for crafters to feel inspired, connected, and find every little thing they need.
