DAY THREE – Sensational stripes

The challenge today was to stripe it out!

Using my favorite Paintbox yarns, I made this Gardi Cardi for my two year old granddaughter in one afternoon. It is a great pattern to use up your scraps!!

Day Four – Round and Round

The challenge – Try crafting in the round, it’s a soothing, meditative motion that calms the soul!

I decided to learn how to crochet in a spiral. It is actually quite easy and fun!! Perhaps a new tutorial in the making??

Day Five – Pattern Perfection

Today is all about geometrical shapes, bright colors, and making a statement with pattern!

A great day to show off one of my quilting WIP’s. This pattern is called Moroccan Tiles. Another oldie from Love of Quilting magazine March/April 2007 edition. Oddly enough, you can still buy the magazine HERE or a digital edition HERE!

I always loved this quilt and bought the fabric used in the original pattern right away. It had been in my stash because we moved and it didn’t match the new decor. I pulled it out again a couple months ago for our new place and have been working on it a little at a time! I actually managed to finish the blocks and sew them together today!

Day Six – Monday Mood

Being retired, I don’t get in a Monday Mood. To me everyday is Saturday! Well, I asked Mr. Google what exactly to do if you have a Monday mood. He seemed to recommend coffee. So for my Monday Mood project, I crocheted up this cute little coffee cozy to make my Monday morning more cozy!
